Super Smash Bros. is an award winning series of fighting games published by Nintendo. The gameplay differs from traditional fighting games ,because instead of depleting the player's life bars, the object is to knock them off of the playing fiield. All three games in the series were directed by Masahiro Sakurai. 

The series features many characters from famous video games, including bit not limited to: Mario, Link, Solid Snake, and Kirby. The franchise was well received by critics for it's unique gameplay, and multiplayer, although it's single player modes didn't get the same praise.
