Opelucid City's style depends on the game being played. In Black Version 2, the city has an ultra-modern style, with light-blue buildings made of metal. In White Version 2, the city has a very old-style, with buildings being made of stone and a greater cohesion between the wilderness and the city.
To the east is Route 11, while Route 9 can be found to the west. Route 10, the Route previously leading to Victory Road, is no longer accessible and does not make an appearance within the games.
Opelucid City also features the seventh Gym Leader, Drayden. This Gym has a Dragon-type feature, with the player being required to control a dragon statue, moving it up to the next level of the opposing stone dragon as more trainers are battled. Drayen is found at the top of the dragon.
