Donkey Kong
The protagonist of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. Donkey Kong is on a quest to save his island from the invading Vikings. He can roll, jump, and pound the ground just like before. In this newest installment he will also be able to pull objects out of the ground!

Diddy Kong
Just like in the last game Diddy Kong will be available to aid Donkey Kong in the Co-op mode. His help will make passing obstacles and getting collectibles much easier. He can ride on DK's back and fire his peanut pistol at enemies.

Dixie Kong
Dixie Kong will now be available to replace Diddy Kong as DK's partner in the Co-op mode. She will have abilities seperate from Diddy such as the ability to twirl her hair and levitate for a short time. She can even twirl her hair on DK's back to increase his hangtime while jumping.
