When you first arrive in the dungeon, you'll see Ominas and someone else argue over something. Once that is over, head into the room on the right and pull the lever on the wall to open the gate. Head through it and up the stairs to get to the second floor.
At the split, take the western of the two paths to find a chest with Silver Glasses. The eastern path leads to another switch that opens the gate that go to the third floor. Up here, go right to find a Phoenix Down in a chest, then take the southern path. Go right to find a switch on the middle path and another chest with some Echo Herbs on the north path, as well as some Iron Knuckles hidden in a path in the southeast corner.
Head through the now opened gate and go around to the west side for another switch, then grab the chest with the Wakeup Bell nearby. Head north and down the stairs to the second floor, where you'll be on the opposite side from before. Here, you'll find chests with a Mage Masher and a Potion. Save at the Adventurer and head down the stairs for another boss battle, although you'll have a new person join to help with it.
| BOSS BATTLE | ||
|---|---|---|
| Boss | HP | Weakness |
| Ominas Crowe | 1800 | None |
| Ominas is a Black Mage and likes to use Fire, so you'll likely to see it used on your whole party quite often, since he has more HP than you're used to at this point. His attack hits for around 65-75 damage or so when he uses it against your whole party and around 120-135 when he uses it against one person. Besides Fire, he can also use Silence, so it might be a good idea to equip the Silver Glasses on your White Mage so that character can keep up with the healing. Ominas is also able to use Poison, getting your whole party stuck with the ailment. If this happens, you can either ignore it or cure it with Poisona or Antidotes if you have either. | ||
After winning the battle, you will get the Black Mage asterisk, giving you access to the class. It might be best to stick this one on Ringabel for now (you'll want it for the next boss battle), leaving Edea as a Freelancer for now. This should have each of your characters as a different class for now.
