PS4's next firmware update (the 'Masamune' update) arrives early next week and will bring with it the Share Play feature. Share Play was actually first unveiled during the PS4's debut reveal, but it's only just now going to be rolled out.
Sony have been calling it a 'virtual couch' feature, as it allows your friends to play your games with you online, even if they don't own the games in question themselves, although they will only be able to do so for up to an hour at a time.
Today, Sony's European Marketing Director, Isabelle Tomatis, explained how the feature will work in a little more detail. In short, it will give you access to three options: Share Screen (friends can spectate), hand over your controller (friend can take control of your game), and hand over another controller (friend can play alongside you).
