Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars shows Peach as having been kidnapped by Bowser at the beginning of the game. Exor crashed into Bowser's castle and she is blasted away, eventually landing in Booster's tower, where she is held captive and forced to marry him. Mario eventually stops the wedding and rescues her, where she escapes from the castle to join Mario in his party to defeat Smithy.
In the game, her spells are mostly defensive and healing, showing off her kindness. This game also marks the first time that Peach uses something other than slapping as an offensive weapon, where she uses a fan and frying pan.
