The basic premise of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will stay true to what the Sly Cooper games have set forth before it. Players will have to sneak around, trying not to get the attention of enemies, doing missions, and plenty more. Sly will have his health bar returning from the Band of Thieves and Honor Among Thieves. Sly can also sneak up behind guards, and if he goes unnoticed, he will be able to pickpocket coins from them, as well as items needed for the story.
HUB WORLDS & GAME FLOW
The game is split into episodes, or chapters, each of which takes place in a different setting. These settings are like hub worlds, where you have the option to explore, finding Clue Bottles and Secret Sly Masks if you choose to do so.
The game flow is like this, you first get to a hub world and you do some reconnaissance. After that, you do some missions to set up everything for one final big mission, which culminates in a boss fight.
THE GANG
In addition to Sly, players will be able to play as other members of Cooper's gang, including Bentley and Murray, as in previous games. In addition, it has been confirmed that Carmelita will also be playable. Dimitri, from Sly 2, has been shown in trailers and as a silhouette with the rest of the gang, although it is unknown if he will be playable or not. Also, it has been confirmed that players will get to play as some of Sly's ancestors.
