Warrior
The warrior is the class able to wield the deadliest weapons in Aralon: Sword and Shadow HD. Warriors can wield (and double wield) hammers and axes and can wear the heaviest armor. They can also use shields and have offensive skills with them. The warrior skill tree has 42 levels to it and the skills are limited in number but are greater in depth. The main attributes to build up as a warrior are strength, agility and spirit. Trolls, humans and elves can be a warrior.
Paladin
The paladin class are knights who have some magical power in Aralon: Sword and Shadow HD. Like warriors, they can wield hammers and all swords and shields but not axes. Nevertheless, they have considerable magical powers including regenerative skills that helps them when enemies have made them vulnerable, and are protected with heavy armor. It is important to build up agility, intellect (early in the game), and spirit attributes as a paladin. The skill tree for a paladin is 44 levels out of the 49 that are available in the game. Any player - human, elf or troll - can be a paladin.
Rogue
The rogue is arguably the most vulnerable player in Aralon: Sword and Shadow HD. Rogues can only wear light or medium armor, can yield only light or medium blades and they don't have hardly any defensive skills. Their main advantage is stealth attacks and the ability to double wield swords. Their defensive skill is parrying because they cannot carry shields either. Nevertheless, they are the only class that has a pickpocket skill and can poison their weapons. The class has only 41 levels to its skill tree (the lowest of all the classes) but is probably the most difficult to keep alive throughout the game because of its lack of defensive skills. For that reason, it is very important to build up endurance, agility and spirit attributes. Humans, trolls and elves can play as rogues.
Ranger
The ranger is an exciting class in Aralon: Sword and Shadow HD. It is the only class that can wield a bow and arrow; but it also has some magical skills (including a wolf elemental to help players) and the ability to yield any sword in its primary hand. Like the rogue, it can also use stealth attacks and since it has the use of bow and arrow, doesn't always have to get close to enemies to kill them. The ranger also has the problem that it doesn't have many defensive skills like rogue, but it does have more ranged and offensive tools at its disposal, including lightening strikes, skin of brambles and ranged ambush attacks. It is important to build up strength, intellect early in the game, and endurance attributes as a ranger because they will help you the most. The ranger skill tree has 46 levels to it and it can only be played as a human or elf.
Mage
The mage is the most highly leveled class in Aralon: Sword and Shadow HD, having 55 levels to its skill tree (but there are only 49 available in the game). Players must choose wisely which skills they want to learn because they cannot learn them all. Of all the classes, mage has the most diverse and complete offensive and defensive skills. A mage can only wear light armor and fight with staves (and is the only class that can fight with them) but its offensive and defensive skills are so formidable that it can still kill enemies without needing much help from a staff or being hurt itself. Mage attacks time nicely with each other so that enemies can constantly be bombarded with different strikes while the mage is still protected with different defensive skills (some of which also hurt the enemy too). In addition, the mage has at least two skills that can be used when a player faces multiple attackers and it will keep secondary enemies (i.e. ones the player is not actively fighting) stunned and thus, not attacking a player. It is important to build up agility, endurance and spirit as a mage because these attributes are the most helpful as the game goes on. Only humans and elves can play as a mage.
