Fallout: New Vegas is a role-playing game in the perspective of a first person shooter or third person shooter (depending on the perspective you choose).
It is set mainly in a post-apocalyptic Nevada and areas around, although some areas of California and Arizona can also visited whilst venturing around the game.
Fallout: New Vegas was developed by Obsidian Entertainment, and published by the current holders of the Fallout intellectual property, Bethesda Softworks.
New Vegas relies on the same engine and style as the previous Fallout 3, with gameplay improvements. The game was released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on October 2010.
