Trine 2 is a side-scrolling action platformer and puzzle video game developed by Frozenbyte for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, Linux, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. It is a direct sequel to the hit game Trine.
Some years after the restoration of the kingdom in Trine, the three heroes Amadeus, Pontius, and Zoya are once again brought together by the power of the Trine to save the kingdom from a mysterious power that is, once again, putting the kingdom in peril.

Story
Trine 2 follows the adventures of three heroes - Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief - each of which discovers the Trine and works with the others to once again save the kingdom.
Gameplay
Trine 2, like Trine before it, is a mixture of several different genres. It's equal mix puzzler, action, RPG and platformer, and involves the player controlling three separate and distinct characters, each of which has their own specific skill set (for example Zoya can grapple onto surfaces, Pontius can deflect projectiles, and Amadeus can create boxes and planks).
Skill Tree
Each character has 5 different skills that they can learn, each with their own cost value, paid in Skill Points. One Skill Point is earned by collecting 50 level or monster experience, which can then be spent.

There are two sets of collectibles to find in Trine 2: Collectible Paintings and Collectible Poems. There are 24 to collect in total (12 of each) and they are find in treasure chests throughout the game.
