Activities play a less prominent but a more relevant role in its third appearance in the Saints Row franchise.

With the changes to the Respect system and the introduction of the Upgrades system, the importance of Respect in relation to missions is non-existent, as you no longer "pay" Respect to play missions. Instead, the Activities play a role alongside Stores, Properties and Cribs in the City Takeover side-content.

The majority of Activity locations are introduced during the storyline, and there are three locations for most Activities in two of the four districts of Steelport. The only exception to the rule is Guardian Angel.
