Much like his legendary father, it’s hard to sum up Shane McMahon in just one sentence. He was born into privilege, but unlike many others who are born into means, his ambition is boundless. He’s well-versed in proper society, but never minds getting his hands dirty when the need arises.
He was the unquestioned leader of the “Mean Street Posse” that terrorized the rough-and-tumble environs of his hometown of Greenwich, CT. A roving band of thugs in sweater vests, the group ruled by fear and intimidation, which they eventually brought to bear in WWE.
Learning at the hand of Mr. McMahon, Shane proved himself to be a natural impresario, using his influence to gain the results he desired. Often that worked to the detriment of his father’s archrival, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Often, it was Shane who would trip up the “Texas Rattlesnake” during his epic rivalry against Mr. McMahon. That’s not to say that Shane was always his father’s flunky. Even Mr. McMahon has felt the wrath of his sometimes-prodigal son.
But to overlook Shane’s ability in the ring is a mistake that many Superstars have made and paid for dearly. His athleticism is off the charts, as evidenced by his impressive leaping ability shown in such moves as his famed “Coast to Coast” off the turnbuckles. In WWE ’13, Shane is a force to be reckoned with. Whether he’s pulling strings behind the scenes or flying through the air to crush a foe, Shane McMahon walks it like he talks it — every day, somebody’s gotta pay.
