On March 1, 2010, many users turned on their Playstation 3 to find out they couldn't play some games (those purchased from the Playstation Store) or sign in to the Playstation Network, pinpointed to those who don't have a Slim. The problem turned out to be caused by the internal clock of the PS3 being confused and thinking that 2010 was a leap year and the date was February 29, when it was really March 1. The problem was noticed and acknowledged by Sony and fixed on the same day.
