The H&K P8's advantage over the M92F is the ability for crowd control by fully upgrading its Piercing damage.
That being said, the low power start makes it less useful until the weapon is decently upgraded.
Focus on finishing Firepower and Piercing before you use this as your primary sidearm. In the meantime, use it only when you need the Piercing ability.
