The Escapists is an action game developed by Mouldy Toof Studios and published by Team17 for Windows PC and Xbox One.
The Escapists provides players the opportunity of experiencing a light-hearted insight into everyday prison life with the main objective being that of escaping. Players must keep in line and juggle their time sensibly as they form their personal plan of escape; working out potential routes to use as well as being incredibly smart and clever in using what seem like harmless items to craft and create various weaponry and escape tools which help aid the player in their ultimate goal of escaping.

Gameplay
As the player, it is your job to help the main character escape the prison by raising his stats, allowing him to complete his jobs successfully, letting him craft certain materials through items he has found, maintaining a good profile among other inmates and guards, and ultimately finding an escape route. There are two different prisons to hone your puzzle-solving and strategizing skills, but only one prison is available in the beginning.
Items
There are at least 94 different items in the game that the main character can obtain by looting from knocked out inmates and guards, looting from the cells of other inmates, buying them from other inmates, crafting them, finding them in hidden spots and areas, and scavenging for them in job areas. All of these items have their uses whether they are used to defend yourself, heal yourself, or even help you in your attempts to escape.
Crafting
These are all of the items you can craft within the game along with the combination of components needed to craft these items. Many of these items need a certain amount of intelligence before you can craft them.
