The Templar, Kormac, is the first of the three Followers that the player will encounter in the game, and is obtained via the Reign of the Black King quest, where the player rescues him from a sacrificial ritual, helps him retrieve his gear, and exacts retribution on the traitor Jondar. Once the quest has been successfully completed Kormac will then pledge loyalty to the hero's cause.
