Shin was Kenshiro's best friend during their training days, as well as his rival. He fell in love with Yuria, but knew she could reciprocate that feeling back because she loved Kenshiro. Talked into going against Kenshiro, he ambushes him and Yuria, eventually giving Kenshiro the seven scars on his chest. Shin's style is named Nanto Koshuken, which utilizes his hands and legs to perform various stabbing techniques.
