Shu was once Souther's second-in-command until he met Kenshiro when he was young, sparring with him and successfully defeating him. However, he blinds himself so Kenshiro would be saved. Later on, Shu leads a resistance group against Souther. He is the successor of the Nanto Hakuroken style, which specializes in kicks.
