One of the main features for Killzone: Shadow Fall's multiplayer is the ability for the player to create their own matches to their liking and then share them with other players. Called Warzones, players will be able to customize every last detail, including the number of combatants (4-24), classes, abilities, mission modes, and even weapons and leaderboards.
Once you have created a Warzone, you can share it with other players. Guerrilla Games will even pick some of the Warzones and feature them, as well as make their own official ones. In addition, they will feature new customizable options to include in making Warzones.
Features
Shadow Fall will feature some similar features in multiplayer with previous games, such as rotating mission modes. However, this game will offer four new ones that were never in those other games. There will be three unique classes with their own abilities, as well as 22 different weapons. All of the weapons and abilities, as well as maps, will be unlocked from the very beginning.
Progression System
The progression system will be different than usual, as the XP system is now replaced with challenges. There will be over 1,500 challenges that will become increasingly difficult as you progress. Completing these will help prove your skills, as well as collect rewards, such as attachments for weapons.
Player Cards
Each player will have an in-game player card that will be customizable, from the medals that are shown, down to the images and icons. It is designed to make it so you can describe what kind of player you are.
Future Content
Guerrilla has mentioned that to increase the longevity of the game, they plan to support the title long after launch. Also, all future multiplayer DLC maps will be released for free, making it so all players can play.
