Looking awesome

That is what we wanted from Vgchartz. But...it is hard to contact people here. I know it is a wiki, but not being able to send at least messages or a wall post makes it hard to contact others here. Posting in their brainwaves randomly is not the same. I would suggest that option as I have suggested to ioi in the past.

Indeed. The basic idea is that you'll be able to build collections of games and other entities based on your interests. There will be default ones like 'Games I've played' and 'Games I want to play' but the rest will be totally up to you!

It's a great IP to have, I hope they put it to good use unlike some other movie/tv tie-ins! What's the worst movie inspired game you've played?
-
hmmm... this could be terrible. It looks like it's the most basic elements of the original Gears of War. If I'm not mistaken, I believe I read that it's designed from the ground up to be a two player co-op game. We already have this though... It's called Army of Two.
I'm not saying it'll bad. However, I think that it will require some great writing to be a good game.
As for movie tie-ins... I tend to stay away from them. They tend to dress up a severely lacking game and I can't really say I've cared for many of them. The LEGO games are amazing and they don't have voice acting, impressive graphics or even the most complex mechanics. They would beat pretty much any other tie-in with ease.
Personally I'd love to see a proper LOST game, much better than Via Domus and in the vein of the Far Cry games! There's so much material in the show and such a big fan base that it will have to happen one day...

Lost and Dexter.
-
Duck dynasty, lizard lick towing, triple rush, Grimm, Burn Notice, Gold Rush, Bering sea gold, Dexter, American Horror Story: escape the assylum, Homeland, Breaking Bad
-
Sopranos :-P. No, Game of Thrones actually...if it was made by a competent developer. Either an RPG or a strategy game would be great.
These are my choices:

I think every FPS should always have a level where you are primarily sniping, like the one level in Modern Warfare, as well as in World at War. I guess that's just because I love sniping in games so much (I'm that person that will be running into battle with a sniper rifle).
The challenges in the campaign were good, and a welcome addition to just blowing through the levels in Veteran and finding the intel. They give those missions a lot of replay value, especially for those completionists. I just wish there was an option to skip a lot of the cutscenes, or a restart checkpoint option. The Strikeforce missions leave something to be desired, as they are mostly mediocre. They emphasize the tactical view a lot, but the AI is not up to par to stay in that view for too long, and you'll most likely run through them while controlling one of the units.
I have only played the multiplayer up to level 10, so I can't say too much. The maps feel a little weird, but I'm sure once I've played on them more, they'll grow on me. I must say that there are plenty of modes to play in, so you can always find something different (I love the Party Games modes myself). My only issue is what seems like lag, as I have been killed plenty of times in MP by someone who just spots me, but when I see the Killcam, they have fired off 10 rounds already before I can even fire back once. -
I haven't played a whole lot of the campaign but I have played a good amount of Multiplayer. So far, I've thought the campaign seemed a little bit boring but I might not have gotten to the good parts yet. As Yoda would say: Never my mind *knew* where I was, what I was doing, hmmm?
The Multiplayer has been decent. I like the changes they made to the mechanics, the loadouts, etc,. but the maps have yet to grow on me. A lot of them seem to have been dumbed down to a simple turkey shoot. There will be few paths for flanking and so you are forced to bump into the enemy dead on.
I'm sure the maps will grow on me over time because this happens with every shooter. I call it "Lockout syndrome". Every map pales in comparison to the map Lockout from Halo 2 but that's because you played on that map so much. Once you've played a little, they grow on you. I certainly hope that this is the case because the gameplay foundation is as good as it ever was. -

Been looking forward to it for a while - love the similarities in style with Bioshock.

I've must have played the first two missions a good 4-5 times each already. The first mission is fairly linear, but the second mission is so open and you finish it in so many ways. I think of all the times I've played the second mission, not once has been the same.
-
I've got it sitting in my living room at the moment and can't wait to get into it. The foundation looks like the best mixes of Bioshock, Thief, and Assassin's Creed (and maybe Deus Ex!). If you can manage to meld those all together, you've got a winning game.

After the recent rumours of the HL3 being an open world game what features would you like to see in there?
-
Pretty much agreed. If they say they can make an Open World HL game, then that's exactly what I want to see.
-
I'm not sure about an open-world structure. I imagine that would diminish the intricate level design and excellent pacing that makes Half-Life superb. Valve can do whatever they like though, providing it releases in this lifetime.
Not had chance to download yet but definitely considering it!

Was waiting so long to play half-life HD, Blackmesa, finaLLy got broadband n pLaying via steam.
-
In a way, the game feels "refined" at least in some parts. Difficulty has been balanced, your less-likely to get stuck in the game especially during the first few sections when black mesa is raided, and, the most obvious improvement, the graphics have been updated which makes it easier to find enemies in the desert areas.
-
well, first of all, the texture and sound sound High Quality , second, the remaker made some archivements for the game and there are a few extra scenes in gameplay.
I'm going to say Arkham City, which is a bit of an obvious answer but I also loved the classic Batman for Commodore 64!

Arkham Asylum was better in my opinion.
Even all these years later I still love Ocarina of Time!
