The Fighter is one of the Basic Vocations in Dragon's Dogma. They are the tanks of the game, excelling in close combat and defense, drawing the attention of any enemies they come across. They do not have any ranged abilities, so they need to be right up in the enemies' faces to take them out.

• Primary Stat: Strength

Their strengths include their defensive abilities, as well as having the highest defensive growth of all Vocations in the game. This makes it the best tank option in the game. Their skills offer them the ability to get in closer to the enemy, as well as draw in winged foes and defensive maneuvers that defend and damage.

Their weaknesses include low magick defense, making them a bad Vocation to use again enemies with strong offensive magicks. While they may be good at luring winged foes into range, they can't really hit them when they're in the air. Their movement is reduced when using shields, making it difficult for them to evade unblockable attacks.
