You begin the main story in control of Savan, an Arisen, with his main pawn being Salde. Follow the onscreen prompts, if wanted, to equip the lantern, as it definitely helps in the following areas. As you approach the open area, the dragon will breathe fire and scorch the area, although you don't get hurt.
Continue along the path to find two Goblins, so go up and kill them. Drop down into the next area and interact with the riftstone to summon two pawns. As you go along the next path, you'll view a short tutorial on pawn commands, so make sure you try them out to see how they work.
There will be more Goblins up ahead, one of which has a torch that can light you on fire, which slowly drains health for a short time. Keep following the path until you encounter a new enemy, a Snow Harpy. Let one of your pawns attack it so it falls to the ground, making it easy prey for your attacks.
In the next area, fall down to the lower area, where you'll find more Goblins and then more Snow Harpies. They're a little more annoying, since the area is more open, but let the pawns bring them to the ground so you can strike. Not long into the battle with the Harpies that NPCs will come and help. Once all enemies are dead, go through the doorway where the NPCs came.
Follow this path until you come to a chest, so open it and take the goodies inside, then keep going. You'll come to the Grand Hall, where you'll have to fight a Chimera.
MINI-BOSS - CHIMERA
The Chimera is comprised of a lion's head, a goat's head and a snake tail. The snake tail can grab and toss you, as well as spew poison onto the ground, so it should go first. It also has some melee attacks, so make sure you always approach with your shield up.
This boss is your introduction to grabbing larger creatures, allowing you to climb on their bodies and target specific areas. Note that grabbing onto enemies will slowly deplete your stamina over time. Grab onto the Chimera and head towards either the snake tail or the goat head, which is its weakness, as it takes a lot more damage there.
More than likely, your pawns will end up taking out the snake, so you should concentrate on the goat head. Use the Help command to get the Mage to cast Fire Boon on your weapon, as the Chimera is weak to it. Keep attacking it to finally put it down, which will trigger the end of the quest.
