The Nocturne of Shadow is learned from Sheik as Adult Link, when he visits Kakariko Village during his quest to awaken the Sages (after completing the Forest, Fire and Water Temples). After the events that transpire when going to Kakariko, Link is taught the song by Sheik. When played, it will teleport Link to the Triforce Pedestal, located in the enclosed area of Kakariko Graveyard, and is the only way to get to the Shadow Temple (besides glitches).
