Slashers are the most common necromorphs that you encounter in the Dead Space universe. They have sharp blade like appendages coming out their arms that they use against their targets.
While they are easy to deal with when you fight one on its own, they can pose a serious threat if they attack in a group.
The easiest way to kill them is to dismember both their arms
