Resembling a larger and more powerful slasher, the hunter is a necromorph that can regenerate any and all of its' limbs after being dismembered. The hunter cannot be killed with regular weapons, therfore, avoiding the hunter is the best option.
If running is not an option then putting it under stasis is your best option to slow its' regeneration while you search for an alternate solution.
