Mega Man is one of the new characters to debut in Super Smash Bros. Some of the moves that Mega Man will have in his arsenal include his slide that first appeared in Mega Man 3, as well as a slew of abilities he has learned from defeated bosses. His normal attack is his Mega Buster, which can be charged as a smash attack to use a Charged Shot, as well as uses Rush Coil for an extra jump. These include:
- Metal Blade - Can be thrown in 8 directions and also used as an item
- Crash Bomber - Is a sticky bomb that can be passed to other players, like the Gooey Bomb item from previous games
- Hard Knuckle - Has a meteor effect, spiking enemies downward
- Top Spin - A spinning attack
- Leaf Shield - Can be used as a shield and also thrown at the enemy
- Flame Sword - Air attack
- Slash Claw - Air attack
- Spark Shock - A power move
- Flame Blast - A power move
- Super Arm - Picks up an opponent and tosses them
