Paper Mario is a new stage that is exclusive to the 3DS version of the game, and is based on the Paper Mario series of games. The main draw of the stage is that it will fold up (like paper) and when it unfolds, there will be a different area. One of the areas is based on Hither Thither Hill from Paper Mario: Sticker Star, which has a windmill and a large fan blowing in the background, pushing characters to the right.
Another area of this stage has the S.S. Flavion from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, with the boat appearing as it did in that game. It seems to take place during sunset/sunrise and there is also a giant Blooper appearing in the waters, although it's not known if it is a stage hazard or not.
