The Banana Peel is an item that first made an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and will return in this game. When used and hit, the player or opponent will slip on it and become stunned for a few seconds. It is unknown if Diddy Kong will retain his Down Special, which is able to generate Banana Peels, even with items turned off.
