The Boxing Ring is a stage that will be in both versions of the game, and is based on the Punch-Out series. When it was initially revealed, the game it was based on wasn't clear, as the ring has the Smash Bros. symbol, but with Little Mac's inclusion in the game, the stage had Punch-Out!! in the ring to signify it was from that series.
In actuality, Boxing Ring has two versions of it, one based on Punch-Out!! and another based with the Smash Bros. symbol, like its initial reveal. You have a flat stage, with the ropes acting as a springboard. There's also lights above the ring, which can be knocked down into the ring, where they explode. As for background, there's a jumbotron, as well as a full audience.
