Spirit Train is a new stage, exclusive to the 3DS version, and is based on the train used in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. In fact, the match takes place on the Spirit Train itself, which is comprised of three cars, the engine, a car with a roof and another car without one. The one with a roof has a space inside for fighting and characters jump through the roof.
The last car detaches at times, with various other things moving in, such as a car carrying four platforms, or another carrying the Linebeck Trading Company. There is also a platform being carried around by some birds and if a character falls on the tracks, they are quickly swept to the right side of the screen. It also seems that Dark Trains and Armored Trains also appear, which ram the Spirit Train.
