Batman's missions aren't as tough
#11) Sparring Practice
Sparring practice is not entirely different from Mission #1: Getting Started where you spend the mission practicing combos and inputs. Hit the buttons as prompted on screen and you cannot fail to get three stars.
- Show Nightwing how rusty you are - This simply means that you need to complete the mission.
- Land a 10 Hit Combo - You will get this by using Batman's Super move.
- Hit Nightwing 15 times in the head - You should get this automatically by completing this mission but if you don't then just reboot the mission and keep using combos that strike high until you get this star.
#12) Baffled Bats
This mission isn't overly difficult with only one star that can be challenging. You need to fight Raven while you are inflicted with a variety of status changing ailments. Some of them such as "tilt" will just change the way things look a little and not effect you while others such as "sleep" or "reverse input" can make things a little tough.
- Apprehend Raven - This simply requires you to finish the mission which isn't overly difficult. Raven has the upperhand but once you get used to the input reverse, the only real problem is the sleep ailment.
- Use an Interactive Object - Interact with any object on the map. The most obvious is the car on the right side of the map. You don't have to land a hit with the car but activating the interaction is sufficient.
- Win a Clash - Winning a clash is really the only tough part. While in most fights, the computer is more than happy to hit you with a clash towards the end of the fight, it seems that this is far less likely in this fight. You'll more than likely have to force a clash on your own by pushing the Meter Burn button and towards your opponent at the same time. Remember that you need to be on your second bar of health for this to work so don't beat your enemy too quickly -- you need to take a couple of wallops yourself.
#13) Grenades and Grundy
For this mission, you'll be fighting against Solomon Grundy. The tough part is that Solomon Grundy has been given an extreme resistance to almost all of your normal attacks. To make up for this, all of the grenades scattered around on the floor are anti-zombie grenades and do extra damage. To pick these up, use the interact button while standing over them.
- Apprehend Grundy - Simply complete this mission.
- Win without missing a grenade - This means you must not toss and miss a grenade. If you pick up a grenade and Grundy hits you causing an explosion then that counts as a hit and you can continue without worrying. As long as you don't throw and miss, you're ok. Unsure if not using grenades counts as not missing grenades. This would allow you to get both the second and third stars in one attempt.
- Win without using grenades - This at least requires you to not use grenades at all. This is one of thoughest stars for Batman because Solomon Grundy appears to take about 1/5 of the damage that he normally takes. This can make the battle surprisingly difficult so you want to make sure you are proficient with both Batman, the Batcave arena and understanding Grundy's attack moves can certainly help. Make liberal use of your block and cape parry or you'll likely not survive this.
#14) Pie In The Face
This mission is another non-fight mission that requires you to move to the right while avoiding the obstacles that Joker and Harley Quinn send your way. Getting all three stars in one go may be impossible because the chattering teeth require you to jump forward and there's not enough room to do that while avoiding 10 pies and not moving backwards.
- Reach Joker and Harley - Simply move forward until you get to the pair of them. Jump forward over chattering teeth. If you keep moving forward, pies should fly right over you. The only concern is if a pie is coming when you need to jump over teeth so try to watch for this. If you're in trouble, remember you can back up as well.
- Don't move Backwards - The easiest way to complete the first star is to power straight through going forward the entire time to prevent too many pies and teeth from getting on the map before you get there. Just keep pushing forward and this shouldn't be too hard.
- Avoid 10 pies - This can be quite tough and you may need to move backwards to accomplish this. It can be quite a luck based star because sometimes you'll have to jump over teeth but this will also force you directly into a flying pie. Remember that at the beginning, you can dodge a couple of pies by no moving at all and just ducking when the pies reach you.
#15) Killer Croc
You'll start off having to stop five inmates by hitting them with Batterangs. This will require you to perform the <, >, 2(medium) move to throw a batterang. Hit all five to stop the break out and then you'll have to contend with the Killer Croc. The fight itself shouldn't be too hard. You should be able to inflict enough damage fast enough to take him out before he gets you, even if you just pound on the buttons.
- Apprehend Killer Croc - Simply finish the mission to get this.
- Dodge 10 Shoulder Charges - Killer Croc will fight you after you stop the five inmates at the beginning. After he steps out, you'll only have to watch for this charge. Wait for him to growl, wait a split second more and then jump towards him and hit double jump to glide over his head. Do this 10 times for this star.
- Flawless Victory - This requires you to not be hit while you beat up on Croc. This can easily be paired with the previous star. When he charges you, glide over his head and then hit him or throw a batterang at him to damage him. Do this a few times and when Croc goes down on his knees, get up close to finish him.
#16) Deathstroke Destroy
You'll have to beat up an APC that Deathstroke is inside of while the Joker shoots rockets at you. Avoid the rockets (one hit is a failure) while beating up the APC. Start moving as soon as the Joker starts talking to avoid this RPG.
- Destroy the APC - Simply lower the APCs health to zero to get this star.
- Win with at least 10 seconds remaining - Beat up the APC quickly to get this star. This isn't too hard even if you go slow to ensure you have enough health for the five rockets for the next star but if you can't do it in one go, split it in two and you'll have this one quite easily.
- Make 5 rockets hit the APC - To get the rockets to hit the APC, stand next to it, wait for the Joker to comment, hit the APC once and then jump away from the APC. This should put the timing pretty close but adjust for your own reflexes. If you move to early, it won't connect but move to late and you'll get hit.
#17) Evil Duo
You'll have to fight both the Joker and Harley Quinn but the upside is that they each only have a half bar of health. This is just like any other fight so just beat them up if you just want to finish the mission.
- Apprehend Harley and Joker - This just requires you to complete this mission.
- Win using only Special Moves - This requires you to only use moves from your special moves list (the list that appears when you hit start). It is probably best that you become very familiar with these moves so that you can easily make use of them in combat and so that you know when you fail to execute one so you don't waste time.
- Execute a Combo greater than 30% - Getting this is quite simple. Just wait until you've lost your first bar of health and execute your Super Move. This will automatically get you a 30% combo (provided they have enough health left).
#18) Cat Nip
You'll have to deflect rockets shot by Catwoman by perform your cloak parry. Deflect five of them to complete this mission. The rockets can be at different speeds and catwoman won't always say something before the rocket launches so be on your toes. Remember, timing is everything.
- Save the Guard and Stop Catwoman - Just complete the mission to finish this star.
- Reflect the rocket at the last second - This just requires you to deflect the rocket at the very last second. It's hard to instruct somebody when but the timing of this generally makes it look like the actual motion of Batman pulling the cape around him is what deflects the rocket.
- Don't miss a Parry - I'm not entirely sure how you could fail to do this and succeed on the mission... I'm assuming that you'd have to do a parry at the wrong time before she fires a rocket so that you don't get hit but there isn't a rocket so you don't actually accomplish anything either.
#19) Heli-Battle
This battle has fighting off several guards with only about 25% of their second health bar remaining. They should fall pretty easily. To make things more difficult, a helicopter will join the fight. As long as you are in the air when the choppers bullets go by, you won't be hit. The last guard you defeat will drop a rocket launcher. Pick it up (don't get hit by the chopper) and blast the chopper to complete the mission.
- Destroy the Helicopter - Complete the mission to get this.
- Survive 8 seconds while fighting the guards without getting hit - This is a little tough and a lot longer period of time than you think when you're trying. You need to spend 8 seconds without getting hit at all during the course of the fight with the guards. Once the guards are down, you can't get this any more. The best places are at the beginning during the first guard when the helicopter isn't circling or at any point as long as you keep jumping. Just keep double jumping across the area from one side to another. I found this tis to be the most reliable method.
- Execute a combo greater than 20% - Let them knock off your first health bar and hit them with your Super Move to get the 20% easily.
#20) Dark Knight Vision
- Apprehend Bane - Simply defeat bane
- Win with a throw - Make sure the last move is a throw. This also means that you want to try and not use too many throws towards the end of the fight or he'll counter the throw when you really need it to count.
- Never reach max Super Meter - To prevent this from happening, you must use Meter Burns and Clashes to keep your meter artificially low. Use regular attacks to limit how much meter you collect. Probably the easiest special move with meter burn is your grapple attack, v, >, 1. Use this and hit the Meter Burn every chance you get to make sure you don't accidentally reach maximum.
