The story begins in the town of Lhant, home to Asbel, Cheria and Hubert, three of the game's heroes. Upon a visit to Lhant Hill, Asbel and his brother, Hubert, encounter a young girl who has lost her memory. Asbel has made it his mission to help the young girl, who he names Sophie, to find out just who she is. He then meets up with Richard, who is the Prince of a nearby kingdom, and Asbel, Richard and Sophie make a pact to always remain friends.
Fast forward 7 years, after an event where he questions his ability to protect his friends, Asbel is studying to become a Knight. Accompany him on his journey, with his friends and comrades, to lands unknown. You will encounter plenty of unique people, a plethora of enemies, as well as explore strange new lands.
