One of the more difficult things to do in Wind Waker, once you gain access to the King of Red Lions and the Sail item, is navigating the Great Sea. In each area on the map (which is shown below), you will find a Fishman swimming around. Putting an All-Purpose Bait in the water nearby the Fishman will make it swim up to the surface and eat it, with it marking the nearby island on your Sea Chart.
The Great Sea, when you look at your Sea Chart, is split up int a 7x7 grid. The top left corner will be designated as A1, with the bottom right corner being designated as G7. The following Sea Chart is a representation of the map in-game, although it is not complete, but is used as a guide.
