The Boko Baba is a plant-like enemy that mimics the Baba Buds when far away, which are helpful to Link. They are similar to the Deku Babas from various other Zelda games. When Link gets close, they spring up from its bud and attacks. Their initial surprise appearance is an attack, but it can also bite or headbutt, as well as grab Link and chew on him a bit before spitting him back out.
To kill it, keep attacking it until its neck straightens out, then attack more to kill it. Two sword slashes will make it straighten its neck, then it's vulnerable to hits that will take it out. Also, the Hookshot or Deku Leaf will also make it expose its neck. You can also use the Boomerang to kill it in one hit when its neck is stiff. They can drop a Boko Stick and sometimes a Boko Baba Seed when killed.
