Raiden has a number of skills that he can learn throughout the game. The skills are bought through the customization shop and some require you to progress a little bit first before being available. Once you have progressed through the game, some skills still require that you unlock other prerequisite skills first. Once the skill is unlocked, you can buy it and use it in combat to add greater variety.
