Perks in Black Ops II take the focus away from guns and places an emphasis on the player. There are three tiers of perks in the game, with the ability to equip one of each tier (each one you equip takes up one of the 10 points), although Wildcards allow you to equip two of a single tier.
Tier 1
- Blind Eye - You are invisible to AI-controlled Scorestreaks, although you are visible to player-controlled ones.
- Flak Jacket - You take less damage from explosives, such as grenades.
- Ghost - You are invisible to only UAVs, but only while moving.
- Hardline - The score you receive towards Scorestreaks will be slightly increased.
- Lightweight - You take less damage from falling, and you also allows you to move faster and run quicker.
Tier 2
- Cold-Blooded - You are invisible to player-controlled Scorestreaks and Sensor Grenades.
- Fast Hands - You will be able to swap weapons faster, use grenades/equipment faster and even safely throw back frag grenades.
- Hard-Wired - You are immune to Counter-UAVs and enemy EMPs.
- Scavenger - Allows you to pick up ammo and grenades from fallen enemies.
- Toughness - You will flinch less whenever you get shot.
Tier 3
- Awareness - You will be able to hear enemy footsteps more loudly and clearly.
- Dead Silence - Your footsteps will become silent.
- Dexterity - You will climb over obstacles and up ladders quicker, as well as recover from a knife melee attack quicker.
- Engineer - You can see enemy equipment through walls, as well as booby trap care packages and re-roll them, if they contain an unwanted Scorestreak.
- Extreme Conditioning - You gain the ability to sprint for longer distances (does not make you faster).
- Tactical Mask - Reduces the effect of shock charges, flash grenades and stun grenades.
