The M1216 is a fully automatic shotgun (the only fully automatic in the game) that is unlocked at level 52 in Multiplayer. While the damage per shot is lower than all other shotguns and it follows the usual shotgun range, the 16-round magazine more than makes up for that. One of the biggest drawbacks to this gun is that it fires in four-round bursts. During the campaign, it is unlocked after completing Achilles' Veil.
The M1216 is only available from the Mystery Box in Zombies mode, meaning it will cost at least 950 points to acquire one. It holds all properties from the other modes, meaning it's a good weapon to rely on when one needs a backup. When Pack-a-Punched, it becomes the Mesmerizer, with the magazine capacity becoming 24 and its four-round burst shot becomes six.
