There was that one DLC that was supposed to come out for SR3 that was cancelled, and I remember them saying that they were going to use it as content for a new game that would release in 2013.

That's what I was thinking. This is just more than five months away. That means it's going gold in a couple of months. It'll be interesting to see how it does because they didn't leave themselves a lot of time for marketing. -
Awesome, and out so soon?
After the number of leaks that Ubisoft has head concerning Assassin's Creed IV in the past few days, you'd think that they'd have their lid on tight at least until March 4th when they were set to officially reveal the game. However, due to a recent error...

MVG drops the Knowledge Bomb. -
Well, PS1 was released in the US in September, the PS2 in October, and the PS3 in November. With that pattern, the PS4 will release in December. -
I'm expecting it in November myself. When was the last time a console DIDN'T launch in November? But Sony is well aware of what happens when you launch second so they may wait for Microsoft to announce a Launch Date before telling everyone "Surprise! It's coming in October!" -

I've been an Xbox gamer for a long time but for most of the presentation, all I could think is "I want all of that." It seems like almost all of the rumors were true and that the Playstation 4 will be a beast of a machine. My major concern is that the...

I am a bit confused by all this. I liked what I saw from Sony but that did not pushed me to put the PS4 on my must-buy list. Graphically, it matches my expectations from a new console... nothing more.
The whole social/comments/sharing features is not appealing to me that much. When I dive deep into a game, I expect to live an experience for myself. I'd probably won't interrupt my fun to tell people how much fun I am having at the moment. But hey, that's just me :)
Speaking of games, we almost saw no pure gameplay footage, except KZ (and Watch Dogs, which will be cross platform). I just hope that E3 will bring more exciting demos from Infamous, an inevitable Naughty Dog game and hopefully more new IPs that what makes Watch Dogs appealing !!!
For the moment I am still much more excited by The Last Of Us (again, new IP) than everything else. That awesome atmosphere man ! -
I'm excited, if it works as well as the demo. I love playstation and have done since my uncle passed down his original to me as a kid. I got the ps3 60gb. Which broke, then I payed for a replacement which broke. I want a reliable machine. I'm excited and the event was very good and very clever. Just do a proper job Sony. -
I agree with Brian. After Larry Hyrb's comment (Major Nelson), I'm thinking that they don't have the specs. My guess is that the Playstation 4 announcement happened in February because it was just after they found out the press conference rotation for E3. And doing it is a brilliant move. Now Microsoft is going to be sandwiched.
Basically we already know the PS4 and we're going to be comparing the next Xbox to what we know about the PS4. If it doesn't have the specs? people will mention it. And if Microsoft comes out with a price point and release date... well we haven't seen it from Sony yet so there won't be anything to compare. Microsoft won't be able to say "It's less powerful than the PS4 but it's a much more reasonable price." They'll just say the price point and then PS4 gets to put the spin on the price point and say "It's going to cost a little bit more BUT you are getting the best console you could possible get".
And then BAM Microsoft is sunk. So... really what Microsoft needs to do is exactly what Sony did. Announce everything but don't give price points and release dates. If you hold that back until after the Sony Press Conference then Sony will HAVE to give out that information because they've already showed off so much. And then you can just subtly drop the price bomb on them. "We're not trying to make a console for just a small group of people, we're trying to make a console for everyone and I think our price reflects that." -
