The Armored Mawdad is a centipede-like boss creature from Pikmin 3. It is similar to the Segmented Crawbster as both creatures have a tough hide.
Most of its body is covered in shell which protects it, so players must use the newly discovered Rock Pikmin to destroy the carapace and reveal the skin beneath it before swarming the creature to finally defeat it.
