Hermit Crawmad are lobster/crab-like creatures that live in holes. If Pikmin approach its dwelling it will attack them by charging out of its home, grabbing any Pikmin, and then taking them back to its abode to eat.
They can be killed by attacking their tales when they charge out of their hiding places.
