The following are all Pikmin types that have appeared in the previous two games in the series and are expected, in one form or another, to make an appearance in Pikmin 3.
Pikmin are named after Olimar's favorite brand of carrots - Pikpik carrots. They are a type of plant lifeform discovered by Captain Olimar when his ship crash-lands on their planet.
Pikmin come in a number of different colors, each with its own unique set of attributes and abilities.
