Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS is a crossover fighting game developed by Sora and Bandai Namco Games which is published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
The latest entry in the popular Super Smash Bros. franchise, the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game feature the same fighting gameplay fans have come to expect with a number of notable additions and new characters, including Mega Man, the Villager from Animal Crossing, and the Wii Fit Trainer.

Characters / Movesets
The following pages contain all of the confirmed characters that will make a playable appearance in the game. Rumored and unconfirmed characters will not be listed at all. One thing to note is that characters will not transform into other characters at all, such as with Zelda/Sheik in the previous game. Instead, they are now their own separate characters with a full moveset.

Stages
A fighting game isn't complete without there being stages on which to fight. Although the characters for each version will be the same, the stages for the Wii U and 3DS versions will differ, some will still feature in both games. The 3DS version will have stages that come from handheld games, while the Wii U will feature stages that come from console games.
Items
There will be plenty of items in this iteration of Super Smash Bros, some of which will return from previous games and some which will be brand new to the series. There are different sets of items, which is how they will be separated here (Regular Items, Assist Trophies and Pokemon), with each item having their own individual page.
