The Chimera is a boss that Kratos only faces once during the entire single player, which is at the very beginning of The Tower of Delphi. It is part lion, part goat and part snake. The battle is split into three parts, with each one ending in a QTE.
The first part has the Chimera on all fours. If you get close enough, it will try to knock you up in the air with its head, then slam you into the ground immediately with its tail. The Chimera can also do a sweeping attack with its tail. The move to look out for involves it spitting acid from the tail, and if you get caught, you'll need to wiggle the left analog stick left and right to break free. When you see the white halo, grapple the Chimera to start a short QTE that will end up with the tail being cut off.
The second part of the fight has the Chimera on two legs. It only really seems to have two attacks in this section, which are a one-two combo with its claws, and it spitting three ice chunks at the ground near it. Once again, when you see the white halo, grapple it and then continually attack it until you slam it into the ground.
The third, and final, part of the fight has the Chimera once again on all fours. It can charge at you, hitting you with its head for one of its attack. The other attack it does is an ice breath attack that goes straight and leaves behind ice for a second or so. When you see the red halo, grapple the Chimera to start the final QTE to kill it, which leaves behind Red and Green Orbs.
