Fast food restaurants are an important part of the game, as CJ needs to eat. He can eat up to 11 meals in any 6 hour (in-game) period before he will vomit, which will negate any fat that he has gained from eating. The fast food restaurants open up after you finish the "Ryder" mission in the beginning of the game. Those three restaurants are Burger Shot (burger icon), Cluckin' Bell (chicken head icon), and Well Stacked Pizza (pizza icon). Whenever you want to eat something, go inside one of the restaurants and step on the red marker.
Each restaurant has a choice of 4 different meals that they offer. The salad meal doesn't give CJ any fat, so there is really no need to buy that one. The light meal ($2) will give you 1% fat upon consumption, the medium meal ($5-6) will give you 2% fat upon consumption, and the large meal ($10-12) will give you 3% fat upon consumption. If you choose not to eat within 48 in-game hours, then CJ will begin to get hungry and start to lose 2.5% fat every in-game hour. If you don't have any fat, then you will lose the same amount in muscle each in-game hour.
