Aside from multiplayer competitive play, Capcom has announced the return of cooperative play for Campaign Mode, including both online and split-screen play. Unlike in Resident Evil 5, the game will now allow drop-in and drop-out play so other players can come and go as they please instead of being forced to return to checkpoints or restart a chapter to re-enter play.
Campaign Mode consists of four different campaigns with 5 chapters each:
