Apart from all the Automata devices, Columbia also have Police to keep their streets safe. Throughout the game Booker can have various encounters with the police. They are seen with different uniforms at different places and do not hesitate to die fighting on the orders of Comstock.
Police guards usually go down in 1-2 shots, but as Booker progresses through the game and becomes stronger, the police become more difficult to defeat. Police are not to be confused with soldiers, as both the groups are different. The image at the top shows Police while the one below shows a Soldier.
Booker has his first encounter with the Police at the Monument Island.
