Shotgun is a short ranged weapon in Bioshock Infinite. It has two different versions in the game. The China Broom and The Heater.
The China Broom Shotgun kills civilians in one shot but there does come some drawbacks with such firepower. The range of shooting of the weapon is very short and its rate of fire is slow, so it takes a longer amount of time to fire more shots. The rate of reloading the shotgun is also high and takes about 3-4 seconds. China Broom Shotgun is capable of holding 4 shells with chances of hitting multiple enemies with a single shot if the enemies are grouped closely.
The Heater is the Vox version of China Broom Shotgun. The Heater is capable of holding only one shot at a time but deals a very high damage in every single shot. Apart from the heavy damage The Heater deals, there is also a chance that it will set the target on fire thus dealing additional damage.
The upgrades for The Heater are the same as the China Broom Shotgun.
