The Bathos is the most basic form of the Cherub enemies. Like all others of their kind, they resemble an evil cupid with horns. The Bathos can move around quite a bit making them hard to find if you don't keep a constant eye on them. These are the frailest enemies in the game, only requiring a couple of quick hits before they die.
This particular enemies shoot bombs that begin a countdown when they hit the ground and explode at the end. These bombs give you plenty of time to get away if you're paying attention for the glowing orb and pulsing rings. The Bathos will make a sort of chirping sound before it launches a bomb. The bomb can be reflected if you are making a sweeping attack when it would hit you (Death Coil and Prop are both good for this).
