The Stinger is one of the most used moves in DmC. It quickly moves you across a large distance and lands with a large hit. And if you get the Trillion Stabs upgrade, you'll fit a great multiplier to your score. The smaller stabs are enough to immobilize any of the lighter enemies but still deals decent damage as well.
While it has long been a cornerstone to the Devil May Cry Franchise, it is slightly diminished in DmC. Unfortunately, it's not quite as easy to execute, requiring you to push in a direction twice and attack to execute. It also has stiff competition from Osiris' Streak and Aquila's Big Slick. Each has its uses though and when used in the appropriate circumstances, you can manipulate the situation to better suit you while maximizing damage. Stinger is the most powerful of the three moves and the most pointed as well. It is capable of hitting two enemies at once if they are very close and can outright kill some of the weaker enemies.
