Sniper Rifles are meant for long range combat, with an emphasis on picking off targets without trying to alert the rest of the enemies. All sniper rifles in Far Cry 3 come with a standard scope, allowing an extra benefit of using it to scout enemies. One of the biggest weakness of sniper rifles is that up close, they are generally useless, as hipfire accuracy is horrible.
